Classification: Query
Surnames: Cossel, Stout, Wright, Bennett, Smith
My 2nd great grandmother, Eliza Ann Stout (Mar 1847 to aft. 1910) moved from Tunbridge Township, DeWitt County, Illinois to Glasco, Cloud County, Kansas, was married to a Jacob Cossel of Glasco, Cloud County, Kansas. Jacob's first marriage was to Mary Matilda Vanatta. Eliza's first marriage was to William H. Wright (1846 to 10 Sep 1887) who moved from Monroe, Knox County, Ohio to Hopewell Township, Marshall County, Illinois to Glasco, Cloud County, Kansas. William was in the sewing machine business. Her second marriage was to Jacob Cossell (14 May 1846 to 14 Jun 1907) who moved from Connellsville Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania to Glasco, Cloud County, Kansas; then to a Bennett (abt 1845 to bef. 1910) of the same area in Kansas.
In the 1910 Census of Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska, at age 66 years, Eliza Bennett was a widow living with her daughter Ida May Smith (nee Wright) and son-in-law John Wilfred Smith. She is not mentioned in the 1920 Census.
William H Wright and Eliza Ann Stout had 3 children while in Glasco: Annette Wright, IDA MAY WRIGHT, and Charles A. Wright. Ida May was my great grandmother.
I cannot find the burial place for the Wrights, Cossels, or Bennetts in Glasco, Cloud County, Kansas; does anyone have information about any of these families or burial places?
Thank you.
