Thomas Cosgrove, b abt 1812, d. 29 Dec 1871 married 19 May 1844 Isabella Geelan, b. abt 1820, d. 20 May 1890. He was RIC Constable at Granard, Co. Longford - according to RIC records his father was a James Cosgrove of Henryville, Co. Armagh.
They had 2 sons, John and Robert, both becoming senior officers in the RIC, and 6 daughters who seemed to marry RIC constables:
