I'm lost need some help finding out about an ancestor that wouldn't know that my grandfather existed?

I believe a Charles or Charlie Corley is my paternal great grandfather. He would have been born in Tennessee and then migrated to Arkansas either with his family or by himself. He had grey eyes like my grandfather and my father. This might be a family trait. I believe he was white/European or mixed with white/European.
