I have just read your message regarding Samuel Corgill. I was always told, the name was Cargill. Our 'cousin' Marsha Hays Frederick mentioned your message last week.

I have very little info on Sam Corgill other than this:

(1) I have a copy of a death certificate for Letha Sims Corgill Latham, Mary Ada Corgill's mother.
(2) A copy of a page showing where Sam Corgill(e) was a Private in Co. B 28th Regiment of the Louisiana Infantry during the Civil War. He died on June 16, 1862 in camp near Vicksburg, MS of measles.

This information was furnished to me by one of my aunt's. I have not researched this side of the family yet, so have found nothing else.
