The King of England gave a land grant to a Cooper in what now is part of Franklin County, Virginia. A portion there is still called Coopers Cove. My father once showed me a copy that told of the boundaries and to whom the land was granted. He has since died and I don't know whatever became of the document that he was shown to me.
