Joseph Lee Hill was born in Washington, DC in 1947 and adopted in VA in 1951. We're guessing that his mother was born between 1925 and 1931. Since DC removes birth parent names from birth certificates as soon as a child is adopted and since this was a closed and private adoption, we don't have any birth parent names.

Results from Ancestry DNA suggest he may be related to the Cooley family via Larken Allen Cooley and Ohros Cooley or via Sterling Cooley and Irvin Cooley. All are descended from Little Berry/Littleberry Cooley.
