While in Richmond last month, I found a record of Sumner also living there after the Civil War. Both Daniel and Sumner were members of Pine Street Baptist Church. Daniel and his wife Leonora moved to Manchester, NH in 1886, and I believe I found Sumner - with a son - in a NY census (I don't have it in front of me right now).
