Suzanne, I have only recently started to use the computer to research genealogy, and found by reading the posted messages that our Cooksey lineage matches. I was born in Vanderburg Co., IN. My grandfather was Samuel Houston Cooksey 1856-1906, great grandfather was Stephen Cooksey 1832-1865, gr.gr. grandfather was Samuel Cooksey 1800-1865, and gr.gr. grandmother was Nancy Ann Stone 1810-1865. I think that you might be from one of Stephen's sisters' lines--Martha Jane, Sarah E., or Mary Ann. What is your line?
