Am trying to find his sons on the 1860 census for Ohio.
They are Elmer Alpheus b 1851, Louis Ferdinand b 1852, John Nelson 1854, Albert b 1857 and also his daughters Louisa Ellen b 1852, Hattie b 1850 and Esther b 1859.
