I am trying to find a Black American ancestor born in Florida in 1867?
I'm searching the census because of a story my father told my mother he claimed his great grandmother was born on a reservation but never stated if it what side of the family it was from or what tribe it was.
His family was from Thomasville Georgia.
Their are no Indian reservations in the state of Georgia.
The only female ancestor I can find born in a state with Indian reservations is Florida.
Lula Mitchell was born in Florida in 1867.
Lula got married and became Lula Taylor of Thomasville Georgia were she married Dan Taylor.

Lula records are confusing she changes her name in the census alot Lula -Mary - Luice.
I can hardly find a record on her before she got married; their no specific birth place or any parents listed on her marriage.
records.

Some of her post marriage records says her mother was born in Virginia and her father was born in Florida
Then another says both were born in Florida.

I have had various autosumal DNA test most give me small traces of Amerindian blood usually around 4 percent or so.
The site gedmatch.com gave me 4gen distant cousin matches with individuals who claim Indian ancestry from the Pee Dee Chawanoke tribes.

I have did a medical related DNA test that states I have a rare gen for Native American Myopathy
