Looking for details on my paternal grandmothers family. She was born i believe in Scotland, possibly Portobello near Glasgow circa 1923, married Claude Wiseman in 1944. They later divorced and she remarried to Len Wise, she died in 1973/4 before I was born.

Hi Sally,
I just heard the name Isabella Wise/ Wiseman mentioned about 2 weeks ago. I was talking to my husbands grandfathers cousin( who was Isabellas cousin too) as we are researching the Conaghan family Tree, he told us that he was at Isa's funeral. Isabella was the sister of Henrietta who died aged 11 in Glasgow in 1933. Her father was Francis Conaghan and her Mother was Mary Hynd. I have lots of information on this family as we have been researching it for a while. I can go back another 4 generations. Can we exchange e-mails as I would love to find out more about Isabella. Can you tell me where you live, We live in Girvan in Ayrshire.

Hi Lorna,
This was a bolt from the blue. I made this entry over 2 years ago.
Unfortunately I am estranged from my father, Isa's son and I don't think he knows a great deal about her history anyway. It is so nice to hear some information about her.
I never met Isa as she died from cancer shortly before I was born. I know I have a photo of her at home with my older brother when he was a toddler and I shall try and scan that to send to you.
I would love to find out more, you can email me: sallywiseman_33@hotmail.com.
I live in Fareham on the south coast, not too far from Portsmouth and overlooking the Isle of Wight. My dad and his brother grew up in Fulham. I am not sure when Isa divorced Claude. I believe it was when they were boys. I was never lucky enough to meet my Grandfather either as he was estranged from the family.
Sorry I am rambling now, its just so exciting to hear something about my Grandmother.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Very best wishes,
Sally
