My grandfather Walter Conacher b. 1887, came to Antigua around 1908, married Margaret Furlong McSevney in 1914 w/3 children Mae, Mungo and Wattie. His father was Chief Game Keeper for the Duke of Baccleaugh in Dumfries, Scotland. Other children were Mungo, John Jim and Sandy boys, Kirsty & Jean girls. I know the two girls went to S. Africa for a period but ended back in Scotland.
Have not gone past Walter Conacher 1887.

Hi Agnes,
I believe I have your Walter on my Conacher Tree, the son of Mungo Conacher and Helen Keir who were both born in Perthshire. Would be interested in learing more of the family if you think they are your Conachers.
Regards, Janet

Janet - Am in the USA at the moment but would like to research with you further. My uncles Walter and Mungo Conacher were both born in ANTIGUA early 1900's, West Indies. My grandfather, Walter Conacher was born in Scotland but not in Perthshire (I went to boarding school at Morrison's in Crieff)- all of my info is at home in Antigua however. If you do not hear from me by mid October could you email me again - do not always have access to a computer here.
