I am related to two Commins families (brothers) who lived near Dowagiac and Watervliet in the 1870's through the 1930's. Their names are Thomas Commins (married to Mary Mullen) and Dennis Commins (married to Honora King). The two brothers immigrated to the U.S. from Ardee, County Louth in the 1850's. Their married sister, Catherine Commins McCartney, was already living in Milan, Ohio. Both brothers had large families. I have traced most of the descendants of these two families.
