I am searching for my great grandmother Lula Jester Comegys Starkey (b.1889, d.1922). I know so far that she was married to a (?) Comegys sometime around the late 1800's into the early 1900's. She had two daughters with Comegys, Helen and Ethel (I think). (?) Comegys died or they divorced and she remarried my great grandfather Issac Starkey. Together they produced a child Catherine Ida Starkey (b.Jan 17,1919). This would all have taken place in Maryland, possibly in Caroline County.
It seems that this woman never existed except for the fact that she produced 3 children. I do know she died of Tuberculeosis in 1922. She is buried in MD. Old family storied say that she was born in England, but we cant prove that. Death cert states her father as Issac, but we think her husband was confused and put his own name there.
Does anyone have information on any of these people? I would greatly appreciate any help at all.
