Thanks for this answering this query. I descend from the Archibald Colquhoun/Calhoun, born about 1800, baptised 1802 in the Old Bluff Presbyterian Church, NC. He was the son of an Archibald Colquhoun and wife Mary (dispute whether she was a Colquhoun or some other maiden name). My Archibald went to Talbot Co GA, where he m. 1st wife??-Eliza Simmons, 21 Jan 1830, Upson Co GA. No solid information as to who her parents were. They moved to Chambers Co GA, where I think she died. I descend from their first child, Harriet V. Calhoun, b. 1832, prob. GA. Harriet m. James Hamilton Simonton, they both d. in north Louisiana.
