I don't think there is a connexion here as my Thomas Collett was born in Slaughterford, Wiltshire and christened at Biddestone, Wiltshire on the 29 July 1811. His parents were William Henry and Sarah Collett. However, I have found no other information on him at this stage - he seems to have vanished from the records. I think that your Thomas would be connected to the Gloucester Collett's. Of course it's always possible that an error could have been made with his date and place of birth - but most likely not. I think you'll have to search the parish registers for Leonard Stanley to confirm the information you have. Best wishes on your research Joan.
