My last name is Collecchio. I've been looking for my family past as well. It seems to me that the name has been changed quite a bit over the generations of travelers but some things ring true in names. My great grandfather came over in the late 1800's. His name was Emanoel Collecchio. There is a town in Italy and a castle with the same name there too.
