Hezekiah and Sarah were married on Sept 3, 1730 in Newbury, Essex, MA but less than a year later Hezekiah was granted guardianship over Sarah's younger brother, Philip, who was about 16 years of age. Can anyone tell me what happened to young Philip Cole? All other children of Philip Cole Sr. and Mary Hadley are recorded up to 1712 in Amesbury. In Charles Libby's GDMNH, page 156, it states that Philip & Mary were given letters by the Amesbury Church to the Wells Church on June 4, 1716 and were subsequently granted 50 acres in Arundel fronting on the ocean at Cleaves Cove. Any and all info would be appreciated.
