Theodore R. "Ted" Colabrese, 84, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, in Bradenton, Fla. Born in Ateleta, Italy, he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater of Operations, and was a recipient of two Purple Hearts for injuries sustained in combat. A Duquesne University graduate, he gave 35 years of award-winning service to R.H. Donnelly Corporation. Known for his charm and loving personality, he was a precious gift to all who knew him. Mr. Colabrese was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Leanore Ann (Savage) Colabrese. He is survived by his children, Debra C. (Michael) Kemmy, Terence R. (Debra), Ellen J. Sullivan and Patrick J. (Zane); also survived by 10 loving grandchildren, Kayleigh and Tyler Kemmy, Megan Colabrese, Brynne (Brian) McHugh, Brittany Hicks, Victoria and Ashley Sullivan, and Christopher, Timothy and Courtney Colabrese; siblings, Ann (Dennis) Laman and Fred (Diana) Colabrese; sister-in-law, Doris Cochrane; brother-in-law, John (Annabelle) Savage; and several loving nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his dearly beloved companion, Dolores Martens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at NEELY FUNERAL HOME, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate his life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church.
