My grandmother was Loucinda E. Coke she was born in Arkansas 2 June 1867 and married my grandfather John Henry Bennett Sehorn/Sehon in Grant County Arkansas 12 August 1882. She died 10 June 1951 in Tom, McCurtain County, Oklahoma. I have one picture of her and a copy of her marriage License.
I am trying to locate any of her family (the Coke family) and perhaps find out who her mother and father might have been.

I would like to thank you for the information. I was thinking that Loucinda Coke (My Grandmother) might have came from the area around Union County. This is just an inpression without any facts or research to back my conclusions. There are many Cokes in Union County, but I haven't made any connections yet. again thank you and please keep in touch.

My Great Grandmother was Martha Coke who married Luther Parsley in 1873. Her father was Andy Coke and her siblings were named Lucy, Johnny, Harvey, Ida and sarah (who married a Dotson). My mother left a message that said the following were related to Martha - but I do not know how - Cora N Coke (10/9/1873-7/29-1965), John L Coke (2/22/1866-8/24/1922), Hubert C. Coke (7/15/1892-4/10/1959), Nora Ann Coke (2/6/1947-6/30/1948), Mattie Butler (3/27/1878-4/10/1956) and M.E. Butler (9/15/1879-4/23/1960). Do you have any connections? Sheila Parsley Young

I am a Coke whose ancestors migrated to AR from Tennessee and Mississippi. Many of the names you mention are common in our family, but I lost track of them in AR.

The name has been spelled Cocke, Coke, Coak and Cox.

Spilsby Cox is buried in Sharp County, AR, but is the same Spilsby who shows as Spilsby Cocke and Coke in TN. I know he is my 3rd great grandfather by a document his son dictated. His son R.F Richard Franklin went to AR in 1859-60 and enlisted in the AR Militia in 1861. He served the entire war and then went to MS.

One of his nephews S.V. Sylvester Coke lived and is buried in Wynne, and also lived in Parkin in Cross county.

I have quite a family tree to share, but have lost touch with the AR branch.

Any help would be appreciated!

I think there might be a link to my family for Lucinda. Not sure how to tie the dates to Loucinda Elizabeth, but there were several of my family who migrated to Arkansas in this time frame, whose children I'm trying to track.

If you still check the boards, maybe we can share some info.

Thanks,
