Mr Coiley,
My father John T. Connerty, late of Cambridge Massachusetts, was one of 15 children born by James and Honora(ni Coiley) Connerty of Cambridge Massachusetts. My paternal grandmother Honora, was one of 22 children. Her brother Leo, my great uncle, was a publican in Boston and bequeathed a Winchester model 64 rifle to my father who, in turn, left it to me.

Whenever I fire and clean it I think of my great-uncle, Leo Coiley, who I never met, but whose legacy is with me.

Surnames: Coiley, McCormick
I have found out a little more since my 2006 posting. My ggggrandfather was John Coiley, b.1832 in Ireland, d.1894 in Cayuga County, NY. He was married to Bridget McCormick, b.1833 in Ireland, d.1898, Cayuga County, NY. They show up on our 1880 census with a son William, born in NY, who was 20 at the time of the census (my gggrandfather). I am not sure if there were any more children or not. I was fortunate enough to find their graves that had Bridget's maiden name on it. There is nothing of them prior to this however. Thanks so much!
