Jacob's will:
In the name of God Amen, I Jacob Coil Sr. of the County of Pendleton, and state of Va. weak in body but of sound mind and memory, calling to mind the mortality of all flesh do make and ordain this my last will and testament, that this is to say principally and firstly, I will and recommend my soul into the hands of God who gave it nothing doubting but at the general resurrection, at the last day I shall recieve it again.

And my body recommended to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my executor and surviving friends. And as touching worldly goods wherewith, it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I will and bequeath of the same in the following manner and firstly I will and desire that all my funeral expenses together with all my other lawful debts be paid out of my estate.

And concerning my legitimate heirs and successors, I divide and devise my real and personal estate among them in the following manner and first and foremost I will and bequeath to my well beloved wife Margaret a descent and comfortable maintenance out of my estate during her natural lifetime.

And secondly I will to my son Henry Coil all my ????and testaments and request that he find his mother the necessary maintenance as aforesaid. And that he shall pay to his brothers and sisters as a ???for the law and testaments as follows: to my daughter Mary (last name illegible) widow, $200. to be paid within the space of three years after my decease, and within one year after that he shall pay to my son Jacob Coil the sum of $200, one year after that he shall pay to my daughter Molly (unreadable) $200 and within one year after that he shall pay to my son George $200 and within a year after that my son Elrick $200. And I will further to my wife Margaret all my household goods; two milk cows and two sheep, maintained upon the place for her use, and after her decease to be the property of my son Henry. I likewise will to my son Henry all my other property of goods and chattles to him and his heirs forever. And lastly I ordain and appoint my son Henry Coil to be the Executor of this my last will and testament hereby pronouncing and declaring this to be my last will and testament revoking, disallowing and making void any former will and testament by me made and attested hereuntofore, confirming, ratifying and establishing this and this only to be my last will and testament.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and offered my seal this twenty third (23) day of February, 1810.

Do you know which book and page number the will was in? I'd be interested in ordering a copy from the courthouse.
