I have a Nancy Coil in my lienage who was born in Virginia and married William Smith who was born in 1830 in Indiana and married her in Callaway County, Missouri. She died in 1850 or 1860 in Callaway County, Missouri and her husband, William Smith took the remainder of the family to the Powderly Community in Lamar County, TX where he lived for the remainder of his life. The daughter of Nancy and William is my great-grandmother who married James C. Turner in 1889 in Lamar Co., TX.
Do any of these names sound familiar to you????(Besides Coil, that is) PLEASE E-MAIL ME IF SO!!!!!
What kind of name is COIL anyway? What country of origin?

Do you know anything about a Coil girl who married a Allen in Missouri or do you know anything about these Coils who moved to Mo in the early 1800 from Va. 1n the 1860 census Mary coil was living with her daughter Catherine Allen Howard. Mary was maried to a Allen. He was on the 1840 census but died before 1850. 1850 she was living in Warren county MO. This Mary coil may have been the daughter of Elijah Coil . I need help from someone who knows more about early MO records
