I am seeking information on the death of John Cohoe and his activities after 1855. I have a death certificate for one son, Thomas H., b. abt 1839, which shows his parents were John Cohoe and Mary McKeone, both born in Ireland. Based on where his four chrildren were born, John immigrated to the U.S. between 1846 and 1854. He had to have died sometime after the birth of his last child, Mary Ann, b. 1855, and 1880, when his wife Mary was listed as a widow in that census. He was not listed with the family in the 1860 census. Any information would be appreciated. The death certificate of his son, Thomas H. Is attached. His family, and presumable he, lived in Schuykill, Pa. It is noted that Thomas H. Is listed as Thomas Kehoe on his death certificate, and lists his father as John Kehoe, but census forms until 1900 show Cohoe as the last name. Kehoe is the most recent variation of the Cohoe name.
