Hi,
I am not blood related to any Cogbills, however, many Cogbills married in to the Boisseau and Hatcher families back in the 1800's mainly in Chesterfield County. I live in Richmond, too.

Most of these Cogbills were the children of Lucy Boisseau and Thomas Cogbill.

Sandi, I am seeking info on my ggrandmother Fannie Cogbill Brown. She was born in Ark, I think, July 1857/58..Had a brother (Fred or Frank,maybe)F.M. and a sister Hessam. F.M. married Sumantha Potter/Porter they had two boys F.M.Jr."Pony" and W.W. "Buck". Hessan married William Bennett...don't know anything about her. I know that these folks moved to Red River Co. Tx. sometime after 1877 because F.M.and Sumantha are buried there. Fannie married Lewis Brown on Nov.17,1877 in Red River Co. Texas. All of their 6 children were born there. Let me know if these Cogbills are familiar to you. I want to know who Fannie's parents were. Thanks for any info. Jane

Hello Carolyn, I am Melisa C Davis. Monica Marie Wyse is my Grandmother, James L Cogbill Sr is my father. From what my grandmother told me, which is very little, was that Cuthbert Sr was buried in Florida. Do you have any information that she (Monica) had a adopted daughter? She showed me a picture of a young lady and when I asked about her, she told me it was her adopted daughter but, she had died.
