Re: Coffeen-Baldwin Families Cavendish, VT
I have been on vacation. Cavendish does have a lot of information. Which ones are your line. Mine are John Coffeen, his daughter Amy married Isaac Baldwin, and their daughter Elmira married Newton Putnam. The Pollard comes earlier. John Coffeen came to Vt. first. We visited there a few years ago and visited the two cemeteries where they are buried. Look forward to hearing from you again. Marie

Re: Coffeen-Baldwin Families Cavendish, VT
I though you might be interested - I have a copy of the Land Patent for Newton Putnum & Goldsmith Baldwin (Elmira's Brother) where they are purchasing land in Indiana in 1837 (where many of the Cavendish Baldwin's ended up. Goldsmith was my Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather. By the way, where is the Cemetery at, is it in Cavendish? Who is buried there? I am planning a trip back east this summer to visit these area's. I have quite a bit on this side of the family, the Baldwins from Billerica, Mass to Cavendish, VT to Indiana and eventually here in Colorado. I can fax you a copy of the Land Patent if you are interested. Brian Baldwin Parker, Colorado

Re: Coffeen-Baldwin Families Cavendish, VT
Marie, I too am related to Isaac Baldwin and John Coffeen. Here is my Line Isaac Baldwin b 1760 of Cavendish, Vt Goldmith Baldwin b 1804 of Cavendish, Vt & Indiana Abel Baldwin b 1840 Indiana Chauncey Baldwin b 1870 Indiana Earl Baldwin b 1898 Nebraska Dean Baldwin b 1925 Oklahoma Marv Baldwin b Colorado Brian Baldwin b Colorado ( That's Me ) I think from an earlier post, your family is through Isaac's daughter Elmira who married Newton Putnam. Elmira and Newton moved to Indiana with my Goldsmith Baldwin following their Uncle Abel Baldwin who founded Montpelier, Indiana.
The previous reply asking about Kyran Dolan, is in reference to my Chauncey Baldwin's, father in law.
I would really like some more info if you have it on the family back in Indiana or Cavendish or even back further to Bilerica, Mass where Isaac's father Thomas Baldwin was a minuteman and responded to the Lexington alarm.
Anything you have would be great and I would be happy to share anything I have.

Re: Coffeen-Baldwin Families Cavendish, VT
Hello, Kyran Dolan was my G-G-Gr Grandfather. His oldest Daughter, Mary Dolan married my Gr-Gr grandfather, Chauncey Baldwin. I have heard many stories about her, as she made quite an impression on the family throughout her entire life. I don't have much about Kyran or his wife but would be happy to share what I have with you. Let me know, I would be very interested in learning more about the Dolan family.
