My great grandfather is Piccione born 1889 in Sicily, Calatafimi I believe. He and my great grandmother immigrated to NY in the early 1900's and settled in Brooklyn, later moving to NJ. There are still some Piccione family living in NY today (my great grandfather's brothers family). I can't say if there is any relation, but I thought this all to be interesting.

HI Nicole
Marianna Piccione was my great-grandmother's maiden name. She had a nephew named Vincenzo Piccione. The family was from Sicily. Could be San Cataldo, Sicily, but I am not sure. Some of my family first settled in Pittston, PA, then Jamestown, NY and finally San Jose, CA. My great grandmother never came to this country, but her nephew did and some of her children as well. I would love to know if other family members also came.
Vincenzo came to Calfornia in his later life.

If there is any possible connection I would like to share information.

Thank you,
Jo Ellen

Hello Jo Ellen,

My great-grandfather's name was Nicolas, he had a brother Guiseppe, they both came to the US. Nicolas settled in Brooklyn, later moving to NJ. His brother later settled in Auburn, NY. I do know their mother and sister never did come over. My great-grandfather died in 1968, so alot of first hand information has not been discussed in a long time. I'm trying to ask around to see if anyone remembers any mention of a Marianna or Vincenzo. I was mistaken regarding where my great-grandfather was from (it was my great-granmother that was from Calatifimi), I think he was from Marsala. I'm trying to contact my father's cousin (Guiseppe's grand daughter), she has alot more information than I do. I can't guarantee how quick I can be, but I will let you know as I find more things out!

I have only recently been trying to gather information myself, as you must know, it is a hard and lengthy process.

Bright Blessings...
Nicole

Hi Nicole,
Thanks for responding. I just sent for Vincenzo's Social Security application, unfortunitely it takes a few months to get the information. Hopefully, this will have useful facts that will help in our search. I am also researching some records in Sicily. Please let me know if you find any other information and I will do the same.
Take care,
Jo Ellen

My great-grandfather is Sebastian Piccione. He married Vittoria Coppolino. They came to NY from Sicily, Italy also in the early 1900's. Perhaps there is a relation here?

Hi Rosann,
My Costanza family members are Thomas Costanza who married Nancy Coffaro, both from Sicily. They had 6 children. I don't know who Thomas' siblings are. They settled in New York. I am interested, please send more information.
Thank You,
