My grandmother's maiden name was Elizabeth Coen and she came from Galway.I would guess that she came to America around 1895. She settled in the Pittsburgh area. I have no background information on her.

Do you know who your g-g-g-(?) father's wife was? My gggfather was maried to a Bridget Mulvahill (sp).
Do you know any of the names of his children? There might be a connection to be found there.

I'm amazed at the number of Coens out there. When I was growing up in Iowa I thought everyone named Coen was related to me. It wasn't until moving to Colorado that I saw a Coen name in the phone book that wasn't a relative.

Your messages of 4/2 and 4/10 interests me
because my great grandfather, Thomas Coen,
immigrated to the U.S. from Galway in 1851.
Thomas was born in 1832 and married an Ellen
O'Donavan, originally from Dublin, Ireland.
Could he be a member of your family tree?

Peggy, I inquired about the Coens, specifically Thomas Coen,
in E-Mails to you on 5/2 and 5/3. Have you had a chance
to determine if the children of Thomas Coan that I sent you
match your relatives.
Thank You
John Harper
