I am just guessing, and someone correct me, but I think it maybe the OLD HICKORY. I talked to the lady next to it, as a matter of fact she run her fence line and has some graves on her side, keeps goats. I don't think there were markers to be seen. She told me that her property was the first Hickory Flat Town, lives on the hill at the corner of Hwy. 5 & 2. Benton Co.,MS. A man,she spoke of that cares for the cemetery, lives further up the road. I went in the cemetery years ago before I started researching. Seen alot of ornate stones, some loose pieces that I figured would come up missing, I was right. But just the same, what a find. It excites me to just go there. I only got three pics,I was to go further down the hwy to Flat Rock Baptist Church Ceme. and take pics there. The names from this small one and FlatRock repeat, which I really got interested. It is cleared more from the time I saw it long ago, I had to crawl up under low growing magnolia, but now you can walk under stooping.
Someone please let me know the name, and now if it has been documented? I know for sure it was not the first time I saw it. I sound like I love cemeteries too much. kat thayer
