Just doing a little ancestry research, and
came across a heck of a lot of Coccagna's in
the USA! I'm 18 years old, and I live in
Cambridge Ontario Canada. There are lots
in Canada too!

Hi! My name is Joe Coccagno from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My family name is actually Coccagna but some of us use the spelling of Coccagno. Half my uncles spell it with the "A" and the other half use the "O". Something about schooling when they were growing up. My father's name is Nello Joseph Coccagno. I have 4 uncles total: Frank Coccagna (deceased); Mondo Coccagno (living); Mario Coccagna (living); Orlando Coccagno (deceased). I have one Aunt - Josephine Coccagno (living). My grandparents were from Abruzzi Italy and their names were - Guiseppi Coccagna and Lugina Coccagna. We are very interested in anything you have found in your search. My father could probably be more help with birth cities, etc. It would be great to swap information. Thank you so much for posting!

I am a Coccagna also

Hi Julia,
I was aware there were some Coccagna's in
and around Philadelphia. I made contact
with Bob Coccagna about a year ago and we
communicated for a bit.
I was shocked to learn that there were more
Coccagna's than I was aware of; its not a
very common name.

I live in Cambridge, Ontario and I have more
relatives in Welland and in Italy. My
parents immigrated in 1958 and I was born in
Canada in 1959. Bob mentioned that his relative
immigrated a few generations ago.

We come from a town outside of Teramo, about
2 hours from Rome towards the Adriatic.
I've had the opportunity to visit many times
and I love it.

Please reply to ruthal@golden.net. I don't
check it every day, but I'll reply
eventually.

Regards, Albert
