I am not sure of the spelling. My grandmothers second husband was a Cocus (Cocas). Her name was Eva Adkins-Lawson. She died about 1947. Her Cocus husband died before that in some type of accident. My mother remembers that he was born in Greece. I have a picture of him and one of his sister taken the day they became US citizens. Unfortunately, I do not know their first names. Does any of this ring a bell. Thanks for your help.

Sorry Steve, but that does not match up with my family at all. The Cocus family came from Romania. Good luck

My name is Luis Cocas I am living in the United States (New Jersey) since march 2000. I was born in Chile (South America) and always I had want to know about the origins of my last name and family since in Chile the only Cocas that I knew were a few relatives, no more than 10.

I can not help a lot. There was a George Cocas that was the 2nd husband of my great grandmother. He was born in Greece and came to the US in the 1920's.

I have not had a response to my posting until now.
