Are you sure of the spelling? My mother's maiden name is Cocus and is from WV

I am not sure of the spelling. My grandmothers second husband was a Cocus (Cocas). Her name was Eva Adkins-Lawson. She died about 1947. Her Cocus husband died before that in some type of accident. My mother remembers that he was born in Greece. I have a picture of him and one of his sister taken the day they became US citizens. Unfortunately, I do not know their first names. Does any of this ring a bell. Thanks for your help. Steve Bailey

Sorry Steve, but that does not match up with my family at all. The Cocus family came from Romania. Good luck

My name is Luis Cocas I am living in the United States (New Jersey) since march 2000. I was born in Chile (South America) and always I had want to know about the origins of my last name and family since in Chile the only Cocas that I knew were a few relatives, no more than 10.

I can not help a lot. There was a George Cocas that was the 2nd husband of my great grandmother. He was born in Greece and came to the US in the 1920's.
I have not had a response to my posting until now.
