My grandmother Vernice Cocanower came to Okla in early 1900's with father Erastus and mother Alice Walling

Have 6 generations of Gochenouers which I have been told my G.G.Grandfather came down fro Indiana to Az then his children to California.

He is my great grandfather born 01/12/1866 in Patoka, Gibson, In. His father Chirstopher Cocanower born about 1833 can not found where in PA he was born or other family member. Hope you can help

Cocanower/Jordan in OK

I am looking for the parents of Vera Jordan, b. 1910 in Quay, Payne County, OK. Her father may have been William Jordan, b. 1890 in MO. THe mother os Vera is listed as Cocanower on the Calif. Death Index for Vera Cox (1910-1995). Vera's 1st husband was Frank Stanley. They lived near Drumright, Creek County, OK and they had about 8 kids in that area. This is all the info I have, if someone has info, please let me know.

Hi Jana,
I think I may have some info for you regarding your husband's family surname (Cocannouer). My husband's grandfather was Harvey I Cocannouer. His father was Delbert E Cocannouer originally from OK. Here is the info I have found:
