What is the birthdate of your Elfido? I have records of an Elfido Coca born 1885 in Taos, NM. Maybe this is a great-grandfather?

Hello,
My great grandfather's name was Elfido Coca. He was born in Taos NM on May 14 1880. Antonia Gonzales was his wife's name. I know you said Elfido was born 1885, I've found sometimes date are wrong.

Which family would you like to know about? I have over 1000 Cocas on my database beginning in 1693. Email me at mlarryjensen@msn.com and let's see if we can find your link.

Shane, I too am looking for Coca's. My records indicate Elfego Coca had 17 children. I have no current info other than their names and they moved to Denver, Co. Elfego was my grandmother's (Agapita Coca)brother. My email is v_estrada2000@hotmail.com. There are several of us researching the Coca line from my genealogy society. We sure would like to connect to you.

I do not have paperwork handy, but I do know Elfido and his sibiling who followed him were born in Taos...all other siblings were born in Pueblo,Colorado.

I am also Coca, from my mother's side. We understand that this is an exteremely rare last name. I was recently working in Argentina and ran into one. After asking the locals, i discovered that it is a very common name in the Buenos Aires area. Maybe there is some kind of connection, many people immigrated to Mexico from different areas. It would surprise me if it is Argentine or Spanish ( Spain ).
