Trying to trace my great grandmother. From
what I've been able to gather, her name was
Mary Josephine Cobb. She was from vicinity of Clendenin, West Virginia. She was born September 15, 1879, married a Samuel Albert Parris, and moved to McGehee, Arkansas sometime around 1900 or thereafter.

In your Cobbs search, have you found a relationship with Nelsons? My mother used to talk about the Cobbs....Her father was Andrew Nelson and they lived in Coal Fork, Campbells Creek, Charleston, WV. He was born 13 Sep 1886 d. 24 Aug 1981. He was married to Bessie Lee Estep. My mother was Marcie Louise Nelson, sisters were Ruth Nelson Halstead and Mildred Nadine Nelson. My mother passed away in 1974 and there is no one left with any information. Thought you may have something.
