I have this info from our family records because we are descendants of Pierce Coady, Edward's brother:
Pierce Coady was born in Wexford, Ireland in 1824 - died in Monroe County, Iowa in 1910. Anne Coady (his wife) was born in 1837 - died in Monroe County, Iowa in 1917. Edward Coady (grandpa's brother) was born in Wexford, Ireland in 1815 and died in 1899 at 84 years old. Katherine, Edward's wife, was born in County Dublin in 1825 and died in 1885 at 60 years old.
That's all I have about him.
So Pierce and Edward's father was named John Coady? Any more info on him? Is he buried in Wexford?

Thanks for replying. Yes that information matches what we have. We made a trip to Monroe County two years ago and have pictures of the Coady graves and the church that is on the historic registry that the Coady family were instrumental in building. I believe that Edward and Pierce's father's name is John. I would have to go back through my father's information to determine where that came from, but to my knowledge he never made the trip to America. Katherine was actually Edward's second wife. Elizabeth Joyce was his first, and was the mother of my great-great grandfather, William Joseph Coady, who was born in Wexford but immigrated over with his step mother Elizabeth. I believe that my dad's stuff contains information on Pierce Coady and his family and he had confirmed part of that with Donna Coady Clark from Iowa. Both she and dad are gone now....wasn't she a Coady from the Pierce line? Do you live in Iowa and have all those pictures or would you like me to share them with you? My cousin and I made our tree private because we were having some problems with incorrect information but we do allow people to view it when they ask. I live in Nebraska and she lives in Colorado.

My great grandfather William F Coady was born around 1804 and came to America, we believe first to Canada and then to the US, Georgia in particular with an aunt. He married Rocelia Kirkland in Georgia in 1847 and had many, many children. Around 1852 he went back to Ireland to find relations and all were gone. Anyhow, we believe he traveled with John and Catherine from New Brunswick to New York and on to Georgia in 1825. Please, if someone would take a look at my tree SHETLINE-COADY, I would appreciate any helpful information.
