Charles Bruce Coad, 70, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on January 11, 2014 following a brief, courageous battle with lung cancer.

He graduated from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio before embarking on a career in the steel industry.
He eventually transitioned to the restaurant business, ending his career as a bartender at the Snooty Fox Restaurant in Indianapolis.

It was said during his life Bruce never met a stranger. He was a voracious reader and cruciverbalophile, avid gardener, and doting father to his two dogs.

He is also survived by four grandchildren.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the doctors and nurses in the St. Vincent Oncology Unit and St. Vincent Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis or Muskingum University.
