Looking for info on any African-American Coachman from Georgetown or the low country. Trying to find any info about my relatives that may have lived on the Coachman plantation, which may now be a part of the Brown's Ferrry Community, southwest of Georgetown. Any info would be appreciated

Thanks for the information. Do you have any info on any slaves that the coachman family owned. I know that the plantation that they owned is now called Oatland/Oakland, south west of Georgetwon (Browns Ferry Community) and some descents of John Coachman a freed slave still lives on the property. Also any mention of the Myers or Moultrie also former slaves. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Dear Angela,
The list I sent was from the Bible of Benjamin Allston Coachman who was the son of John Coachman.
I would love to help if I can. How far back have you been able to go? Have you traced your family back to Georgetown and as far back as John Coachman?
