I have been researching other lines in my family and haven't gotten to the Coachman line yet...but my great grandmother wwas a Coachman. She was Mary Aline Coachman, born 13 Dec. 1856 in Georgetown, S.C. She married Charles Buxton Rogers born 04 Dec. 1852 in North Carolina.I know that they lived their married lives in Jacksonville, Fl. From what I can gather she had lived in Bronson, Fl before they were married. They had 8 or 9 children, one of them being my grandmother, Winifred Richards Rogers. Mary Aline's father was Benjamin Allston Coachman. I think that I my have some papers on the family, but I haven't gotten into them yet. When I was at the cemetary the other day there were alot of Coachman markers.(Evergreen Cemetary in Jacksonville, Fl.) I'm sure that they could help you. And I may be able to help you later. Bette, I went to Vital Statistics and got my grt. grandmother's death certificate. She was Mary Aline Coachman Rogers(Dec13,1856-June 14,1949)She was born in Georgetown, S.C. and her father was Benjamin Alston Coachman who married Caroline Thurston Ford in Georgetown,S.C. in 1833. I found Benjamin Coachman living in Manatee Co., Florida in the 1870 census.(He was married to Caroline) They were from South Carolina and they had a child named Mary who was thirteen. I also found the papers that my grandmother had given me. It is a report done by a genealogist long ago. I don't know how accurate it is, I have to check it out, but the tree goes back to Landgrave Thomas Smith the first Gov. of the province or Colony of South Carolina 1693. Are these any of you Coachmans? Harriet Raffo
