WAVERLY: James F. Clymer, 81, of Waverly, Ohio, died 9:15 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born August 27, 1933, in Higby, Ohio to Harry and Mildred Allen Clymer.
On October 19, 1956, he married the former Lois Shanks who died January 13, 1980
.Surviving are children, Brian (Joy) Clymer, of Chillicothe, Ohio, Stacee (Jeff) Houser, of Waverly and Deirdre (Steve) Trainer, of Chillicothe, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandon Blazer, Brice Clymer, Riley Houser and Madison Trainer; a sister, Barbara Ralston, of Newark; and his pet yorkie, Charlie. He was predeceased by an infant son, Bruce Kelly who was Brian's twin brother; father, Harry Clymer; and mother, Mildred Ralston.
James served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of American Legion Post 62, F.O.E. Aerie 600 and U.P.I.U. Local 731.
Jim retired from the Mead Corporation where he had worked as a pipefitter.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with his cousin, Lowell Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in Caldwell Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.
Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Jim had requested that anyone attending his services dress casually.
