I'm sorry I don't have a Clementine Clydesdale. I do have Margaret Clementine Clydesdale b. Apr 16 1958, in N. Ireland. She was the dau of Thomas Henry Clydesdale b. Apr 19 1922, N. Ireland, d. apr 27 2000, Balynahinch, N. Ireland, and Mary Porter.

Thomas Henry Clydesdale was the son of John Clydesdale b. mar 15 1888, d. Feb 26 1964,and Clementina Dennison b. Sep 4, 1886, d. Oct 1938. Could this be who you are interested in? If so, please let me know. I have futher information.

Hi Susie, thanks for your info, thats excactly what I was looking for . Thankyou very much. I had my grandmothers name wrong. Any other information would be great. I leave Australia in four weeks to go to Scotland and Ireland and hopefully can find where she is buried. Any clues on where I can start... Regards Helen

I've just seen your message on the notice board. I have a list of Clydesdales sent to me by Susie. On it there is a Robert John Clydesdale, b.abt 1912, in N.Ireland. d. Stranraer abt 1984 m. Mamie Allan. Is this the Clydesdale you are researching. My husband's father was Alexander Clydesdale, son of Thomas Clydesdale and Mary Cochran, N.Ireland. If it is please let me know

Do you have any info on Clydesdales from the barony area of Glasgow? Particularly Brown Clydesdale?

Hi,
My name is Peggy Yunker Clydesdale. I'm married to the grandson of the Honorable Thomas Ries Clydesdale. If you contact me at bedpan3@hotmail.com , I'll get you in touch with him, as I'm sure he can help you get information on his relative of the same name. He is 92, and sharp as a tack!! If I knew more at this point, I'd post it for you. I do know that the "Peru cousins" (we are the Oglesby branch) have offspring that live both in the area and elsewhere.

hope to hear from you
Peggy

John J. Clydesdale was my great grandfather too. His blacksmith shop was located in Balmville, just outside of Newburgh near the old Balmville tree. His son was also John Clydesdale who married Frances Jay, my grandmother and grandfather. My grandfather (John) died on valentines day 1958 of a heart attack in St. Lukes Hospital, Newburgh. His wife died in 1974. He had two sons, John (Jack) Clydesdale and Robert Clydesdale who was my father. Robert, my father, died December 11, 2010 at St. Lukes Hospital of Parkinson's Disease.

I am trying to trace my family back as far as possible. John J. Clydesdale, the blacksmith was as far as I've been able to get. I believe he also had a brother named Ruderick (Ruddy). If you have any more information please respond to me. I want to learn as much as I can about my paternal ancestry.

Thanks.
Robert Clydesdale Jr.
Newburgh, NY
