My 5th great grandmother was Nancy Clyburn,b circa 1770 in Virginia. She was the daughter of William Clyburn, who was born in Virginia. Nancy married Reddick Mosely and moved to Kershaw County around 1795. Looking for any information about Nancy, her father, grandfather, etc. and her mother, Frances Dent.

Susan,

I have a William Clyburn (Cliburn) b 1793 in Stokes Co. NC, Father of John W., Sara E., Nancy b 1831 and Lemuel b 1835. I have further information on Sara and Lemuel. None on Nancy or John.

William's father was Thomas b. abt 1750.

William was married twice, once to Polly Rife (no issue) and 2nd to Christina Croy.

Does this match anything you have? I know the dates don't match, but this is the only William with a daughter Nancy I have.

Thanks for your information. However, my Nancy Clyburn had a son born in 1800, so the dates just won't fit.

W. U. is pictured in Takeoff, yearbook of the 43D class at Blackland Army Flying School near Waco, Texas. He is a flight cadet. I'm not kin but thought this might help someone researching this family.
