I did an extensive search last night about my father and grandfather. My father was James Franklin Clubb and my grandfather was Aaron John Clubb. They were born in Missouri and died in Illinois. Jacob Clubb, a great grandfather many times over, started in North Carolina and ended up in Missouri. Going back even further, Gasper Clubb was born in Germany in 1742 and died in North Carolina in 1820. The ancestors in Germany had a surname of Klopp. Some had the name of Clubb Klopp and some Klopp Clubb. I sure am glad they shortened it, or I would have been Carol Clubb Klopp. But that was my maiden name. Has anyone gotten that far? If we are related let me know
