Surnames: Clubb/Seitz
My 4th GGF married Mary Clubb, daughter of Peter Clubb/Klobb in NC. My ancestors name is Jacob Seitz. Several of his sons and their families then migrated to SE Missouri in the Cape Girardeau area to a township then known as Lehman, MO. I believe that during this migration they were traveling with some of the Clubb family. I can't put my hands on the documents at the moment but I did read that. I am wondering if this rings any bells with you and if you have any information on their travels from NC to MO and where along the way they may have stayed for awhile and might have left some other tracks to discover. If you want to correspond directly my email address is levifarms@ sbcglobal.net.

Ann the J.H. Clubb is John Hamilton. He was the son of Philip and Jane. My guess is that the bad writing and copying made it easy for people to confuse the J an the I. we also have to remember that none of the Clubbs could read or write so they would not know what was written. It is good to hear from you. Hope you and your family are Ok
Jim
