b: MAR 25, 1885 in
Carroll,
ArkansasI do not have the
Reuben Arthur Cloud or
Hiram Wilson Cloud. Is
Reuben the person I have as Robert A. Cloud? Also, could
Hiram have been born after 1880 census and have left home prior to the 1900 census? That could explain why I missed him.
There are several resuources available to help you:
1 - Click on the link on this page -- to the top right under "Page Tools" on the link "Board Information". I have put links there to web sites of people who are researching the Cloud family.
2 - Go to the Cloud Family Association home page:
rootsweb site --
http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~cloud/mykindred site --
http://mykindred.com/cloud/ ... and click on the link labeled "Cloud Family Web
Sites":
...
http://mykindred.com/cloud/genlinks.htm(The links may not be the same -- I try to keep them synchronized but can't guarantee that I have.)
There is also an email list or forum dedicated to the Cloud family. Send an email to -- (
cloud-request@rootsweb.com) -- and put the word subscribe in the subject or the body.
You will find that there several people there that are researching Cloud families from the same area as yours and probably even some who are closely related to you.
3 - There is the Cloud Family Association -- a group organized by some of our kinfolks back in the seventies. They have a very large amount of data on the Cloud family. You can find links to it on the Cloud Family Association web site I listed above. One of the invaluable things is a CD created by our cousin Ken Cloud which has all the past newsletters up to a year or so ago. It is a rich resource of genealogical data on the Cloud family.
I am willing to work with you, if you're interested, and I know there are others who are also. Just send me an email and I'll work with you (a bulletin board like this works well for initial contacts -- but not for intensive genealogical research).
