Mrs. Sarah Ann Johnson
Mrs. Sarah Ann Johnson, of 424 Wilson avenue, [Washington, Pa.] died early yesterday [clipping is undated, but before 1927 when her sister Mrs. Day died] after a prolonged illness of almost a year. Mrs. Johnson was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Closser, of Amwell township, and was born there July 13, 1844. She was married to Matthew Johnson in 1867, and they resided in South Franklin township till his death six years ago, when the family came to Washington. Mrs. Johnson was an active member of the Second Presbyterian church. Six children and one sister, besides 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, survive: Mrs. Charles Dixon, of near Pleasant Grove; Mrs. George Bedillion, of South Franklin township; Closser Johnson, of South Franklin township; Marion C. Johnson, of Amwell township; Miss Jennie and Miss Lena Johnson, at home, and the sister, Mrs. Rebecca J. Day, of 504 Jefferson avenue. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3:30 and interment will be in the Washington cemetery.
