Dated 1846, probated May 1847 Owen County, Kentucky

"I David Clifton of Owen County Kentucky do hereby make my last will and testament in manner as following that is to say first that all my debts and funeral expenses be first paid.

I give to my beloved wife Easter Clifton her thirds of the real estate and personal property.

I give Polly Kimmon, five dollars, to John Clifton five dollars and no more to Prissey Clifton five dollars and no more and to Josiah Clifton an equal part with the rest, to my grand daughter Thuresey Clifton my bed and bedding and bed sted. To my daughter Easter Clifton thirty dollars extra to the wrest and then an equal part with all except the three I give the five dollar a pease and I David Clifton do constitute and appoint my sons David clifton and Josiah Clifton my administrator on this my last will and testament and so this will be understood that this is my last will and testament this 1846 my had and seal."
