I have a good deal of information on Henry, there may be some you don't have. I'm new to this message board so not sure how it warks. My e-mail is edwards3411@comcast.net

Let's try again - edwards3411@comcast.net. I find this Ancestry method confusing and I haven't the time to get a PHD in ancestry.com. I have regular (word , xl, etc.)files that I can attach to emails but ancestry wants a GEDcom what ever that is.

My research is based on my accounting training "in God we trust, all others we audit".

In your next e-mail make sure the subject line clearly spells out that it concerns genealogy. Hope to hear from you soon.

I'll go ahead and re-send an email to you, but will also post it here. Might be quicker as I'm only interested in Henry's military experience, not any family stuff (I'm not related).

Here's what I'd sent:

"Thanks for responding to my Ancestry posting.

I'd love to hear what you have on Henry (I assume he's an ancestor), but please be aware I am not related nor a descendent in any way, so I am not looking for any vital data, neither his ancestors nor descendants nor any family info.

I'm doing research on my own ancestor's experiences during the Revolutionary War, and he and Henry were in the same militia company out of Frederick County. I've collected a few of the pension statements and other information from my ancestor's fellow soldiers in order to put together a picture of where they marched and fought, but have not found any information nor pension for Henry as yet.
I'm also trying to narrow down where in Frederick County mine lived by seeing where the other soldiers in the company also lived.

Anything along those lines would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Steve Smith"

Steve: In Auguat 1774 Henry Clise of Frederick County purchased lot 36 Taney's Town from Jacob Kuntz Jr. for 40 pounds. Had a house and garden etc. Both listed as blacksmiths. Ref. Liber W page 205-6. Hope this helps as I have no record of pension as yet - should you come across any pension records I'd appreciate a heads up. thanks.
