This is just a note to tell all researchers who produce any information on the Cleal, Cleall, Cleale and other variants that all to soon it will appear on D. Cummings web site as her information. Many of us have spent years collating such information including Megan only to find it stolen as hers.

Sadly there is so much information on the Cleal, Cleall, Cleale and other variants that is lost forever thanks to the English Civil War and other conflicts that many Famlily tree's can never be linked together.

Di Cummings can do what she likes but she will never ever be a Cleal. I feel fortunate that I can follow my Family tree back to 1710

Dear All Listers,
I made the cardinal mistake of accusing Di Cummings of using others information that is put on the web. I would like every one to know that I would like to apolagise unreservedly to DI CUMMINGS for any inference that I made. One forgets when it is put on the Wonderful World Wide Web is free for all.

I had had some bad news yeterday and I took it out on the wrong person.

Yours sincerely,

Roger Cleal

In trying to to sully my reputation, maybe you haven't realised that for over five years I spent many hours talking with Megan and sharing what we now know.
I have also taken great care to ensure that our research is as accurate as possible.

At the top of each page is the Australian flag.
Clearly written there is:
Researched by Megan Butler
and Di Cummings

At the bottom of each page is written:
Any and all copyrighted data/graphics are acknowledged as of their respective owners.

We both posted our research online - mainly as a backup to each other's work - just in case one or other of our webproviders failed us.
I dont ask or expect an apology. I stand tall, knowing that our work is not STEALING - it is sharing and protecting our work.

My ancestor Jacob Cleal was brother to Daniel Cleal.
My grandmother [Lily Rosabel - born in 1892 at Albert Park]
was a grand-daughter of Rosabella Cleal (1831-1925), daughter of Jacob.
I do believe that makes me a direct descendant of Jacob CLEAL.

Understanding that you have probably looked at our webpages - I am wondering if you might have something to add or update.
Sincerely, Diane Cummings

Sorry Roger for my last post. Somehow I missed reading the following, and I do apologise and thank you.

Just in case someone is interested:

Megan is a descendant of my Rosabella Cleal's sister EMMA PRISCILLA (1835-1944)

I do hope this "discord" is cleared up. Life gets too hard sometimes, and it's so easy to get a bit protective.

If you, dear reader, do find a link between your family and the family mentioned here, please post a message here. thanks.
