Do you think it's possible your grandfather's name might have been Roy Sibley Clackum rather than William Sibley Clackum? In the 1955-08-30 issue of the Marietta Journal, in an article about the annual Clackum family reunion, among the attendees are "Mr. and Mrs. Roy S. Clackum, Norma, Theresa, Billy, and Royce." So the children match as you list them in your post. Roy Sibley Clackum was the son of William Henry Clackum, who in turn was the son of Wesley and Josephine Clackum.
I added that particular reunion article to Roy Sibley Clackum in my tree so you can see this article for yourself if you'd like.
Edit: Also have the obituary of Roy S. Clackum, see if it matches as well: "Roy Sibley Clackum, 79, of Dallas, formerly of Marietta, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999.
Services will be 4 p.m. today at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, with the Rev. Donald R. Voyles officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Park Cemetery in Marietta.
Mr. Clackum was a retired home transportation dispatcher in Marietta and a member of Kennesaw United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bennie Clackum; one son, William "Bill" Clackum of Dallas; two daughters, Royce Cooper of New Hope and Norma Henderson of Marietta; three brothers, Amos Clackum of Marietta, James "Red" Clackum of Camden, S.C., and Randall "Cotton" Clackum of Rome; one sister, Grace Finlayson of Marietta; and four grandchildren."
FYI everyone else researching the Clackums, I added a bunch of obituaries and other articles from the Marietta Journal to my tree this weekend.
If there is any Clackum anyone on this board wants me to look up in the Marietta Journal that I have not added something for so far (check my tree!), just ask and I'll see what I can find. There won't be much if anything if the person in question did not live in the Marietta area, of course, but I'll try. If you know what year the person died that would help me tremendously as far as finding an obituary. Thanks
