Claboughs of Sevier County, TN
Yes, i know there are TONS of Claboughs in Sevier County, but hoping to find a few that are closely related. My g grandparents were John Wesley Clabough and Mary Elvira Franklin. If you are related, would love to hear from you. We still have a Clabough reunion every year on the third Sunday in September. Would be nice to see a few new faces.

Re: Claboughs of Sevier County, TN
This is a large message but I couldnt find your email. Im finally starting research on my family tree for my kids. My mother was Penny Sue Clabough, Daughter of Melvin and Ruby. I came across your information on the genealogy site and noticed Cleo and Dorothy. I also noticed that Melvin passed the same time my, Papaw passed. I wanted to confirm if this is the same as my grand father Melvin. We lost many records and pictures in a flood and fire as well as moving about quite a bit. SOme back ground information to give you for verification:
I am Jimmy Ray Everett. I have many relatives that correspond to your information. Jimmy Houston Bradburn, Cleo Clabough. were uncles. Ricky and Clyde Weeks cousins as well as Steve, Randal, Ronnie and Mickey Weeks. I still speak with Wayne Weeks occasionally.
Mike and Nina Cline as well as Scotty. I coached against Scotty for a while in the Park and Rec league of youth Football.
I was there the day my Papaw passed. he had a heart attack if I remember correctly. I was outside the house yelling for the ambulance. They drove by three times and said they couldnt find the house. We lived under the Washington Street viaduct on Harper and Washington street when it happened. I was 5 years old. It was a pretty bad day I remember well. Before we lived there, we lived on Battle Branch. Most of the family lived there until the City ,oved us out and made Green Belt Park. Some of the family got to move into Parkside like Dorothy and Irene Weeks. But many of didnt get that opportunity.
Anyway, I hope this is enough for you to verify. there wasnt much info to go on and this is the first hit I have had that is close. It would be great to be able to start here. I went to William Blount 2 years and Maryville 2Years. I lived with Granny, Ruby Clabough (Not sure of maiden name) until she passed and then moved back with my mother. I was 12 I think. Until then, Wayne Weeks used to take me to the Boys Club with Steve to play basketball.
Any help would be greatly appreciated sir.
Sincerely,
Jimmy R. Everett
